What have you been getting?

A couple months ago I found myself on the other end of a phone call that really perplexed me. Her name doesn't matter now for all wondering who it was.. it wasn't the kind of conversation that you might be thinking about. I had worked with her at a mortgage company the previous year and moved on another company in hopes of a better opportunity. Well, she had stayed, not willing to see the writing on the wall. What I saw was that everyone who stayed would lose their job with that company. It just didn’t have the momentum and wasn’t of the caliber that was becoming industry requisite.

When she called me, she was looking for work. Unfortunately I was unable to be of help for I too was between careers. She had been afraid that she would lose her job. I saw it coming. Then she expressed to me that she had had a steady string of job losses in her line of work with other companies. This seemed to be her experience. She had never been able to stay on with a company. This was news to me because she was very diligent with everything that she handled at the office in her department, even if it was severely lacking in organizational operation. Despite all that, she lost her spot.

“I’m just so afraid of failing,” she finally admitted. And then everything made sense. She had exposed to me the error she had made and had been making for the better part of her life: fear of failure.

“What is your greatest fear?” I asked, “What is it that bothers you everyday?”

“Losing my job. Failing.”

“Okay, well, what have you been getting in life in regards to work?”

“I keep losing my job.”

“Do you see a connection there? What you’ve been fearing is exactly what you’ve been getting.”

“It’s true,” she replied. I then explained a little about the law of attraction and to visit the website of a friend, the same friend who helped me to understand that law. I couldn’t give out her phone number because, well, you kn0w, you can’t just go handing out your friends’ phone numbers!

I don’t know what’s become of her. But I will wait some time more before calling to see what’s happened for her. We all need a little time to observe and understand what is going on in our life in order to apply the Law of Attraction correctly, which is what she needed to do.

So this story will continue, just not right now. But remember: whatever is on your mind the most you will attract into your life; whether you envision excelling in your career or losing it, you will get it. And look at your life now and see what you’ve been getting, what is it and is it what you want? Then ask yourself how this came into your life at the same time reviewing your mindset. Has that been on your mind and in your beliefs? Accept what you attract into your life and move with it, then change what you think about to what you want, not what you don’t want. Then see what happens.

Welcome

I have a lot to write about. I have recently come into the understanding of what attracting life really means. Among my favorite books are those that teach about creating life and attracting life and really choosing to accept what I have been asking for. So I wish to share with the world what I am learning as it happens. I hope that it helps people to have success in all their endeavors. I wish for all to benefit from what I am learning.

I am a religious man, but I also believe in the power that is given to men and women to create the life they desire to have. I am a proponent of physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health and discipline. I will make recommendations to websites and books that I have enjoyed. I make no claim to have any credentials of any kind having to do with anything whatsoever. I love to write. I love to help. I love to coach. I love people, all people everywhere because we are all brothers and sisters and deep down, there is a connection at a very spiritual level intertwining us all together and to God.

I work in the finance industry, dealing in mortgages. As you may know, at the time that this post will be published that my career there is in question along with anyone with whom you may be acquainted in that industry. I have had to dig very deep to make understanding of where I am now and have had some interesting conversations with incredible individuals. So I am writing here as I learn new things and want to share how these things are affecting me, both immediately and over time.

Please bare with me as I get this blog off the ground. I love to write and I hope that you will see that in these pages. I hope that you will enjoy the words that I write and that they come as a help and insight for you. I also want to let you know that my end goal is to write a book along the same lines. Much of what is in the blog will be published in the book, including any comments that are posted that are worth contemplation. But the book will have more insight and more sourcing and, when I can, have inclusions of interviews with exceptional individuals. From time to time I will come across something of great value for everyone and I hope that you will share in my enthousiasm for the new and different. I will share those with you and if you find an interest please run with it. But if you don't then please let it pass.
